Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day

The CFI family grew by 15 on Thursday, April 24 when the company participated in Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day 2008.
The day has been a nationwide tradition for more than 15 years. “We just had a lot of fun with it and tried to give the kids a first hand look at real-world work by letting them shadow their mom’s & dad’s for the day,” says Kimberly Byers of CFI human resources.

Adjustable leg positioner brings comfort, accuracy to lower extremity scans

Necessity is indeed the mother of invention. CFI process engineer Mike Howe developed an idea for an adjustable foam wedge while helping his brother-in-law cope with back pain. The only thing that brought relief was keeping his knees bent and firmly supported, reducing the pressure on his lower back. Instead of playing trial-and-error with various pillows and foam wedges, Howe headed into work to find a better solution thus the birth of the Adjustable Leg Positioner. Read More
